Position Overview
Public Radio Partners is seeking a determined and persuasive sales professional to join our public radio sales team at Cincinnati Public Radio. Candidates will be responsible for the sale of 20-second corporate sponsorship messages, print ads and events along with other marketing related products. This is an outside sales position where successful sales reps develop new business by cold-calling and following a consultative sales approach.
Summary of Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Daily life for an account executive in public broadcasting is similar to that of a salesperson in commercial broadcasting or local print media. An account executive is expected to make cold-calls to decision makers at local and regional businesses, meet with them to understand their marketing needs and develop proposals that offer marketing solutions to help them grow their business.
Requirements for Selling Cincinnati Public Radio
The position requires excellent and professional communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate must possess the ability to persuade, manage their time, prioritize effectively and be goal oriented. The position requires 3 years of media or marketing related sales experience and a 4 year college degree.

Position Overview:
Public Radio Partners is seeking a determined and persuasive sales professional to secure discounts to be offered to Cincinnati Public Radio members at local restaurants, retailers, performance venues and arts and cultural organizations. This is a limited-time contract position, from July 1 through August 31, 2009. In this outside sales position successful sales reps develop business by cold-calling and presenting turnkey packages for member card program involvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily life for this position is similar to that of a salesperson in commercial broadcasting or local print media.
An account executive is expected to make cold-calls to decision makers at local and regional businesses and non profit organizations, meet with them as necessary to secure participation in the member card program.
Job Requirements:
Must have 4 years of media or marketing related sales experience.
Excellent and professional communication and presentation skills.
Must possess the ability to persuade, manage their time, prioritize effectively and be goal oriented.
Compensation:
Commensurate based on experience
