The spirit of Chanukah, a holiday joyous at freedom's triumph and spiritual rededication, is richly reflected in the folk melodies and songs from counties across the globe where Jews have lived and worshipped for centuries. Cincinnati's Classical Public Radio, WGUC 90.9 FM is pleased to offer its listeners a special holiday program to celebrate the festival of Chanukah. Join Naomi Lewin for A Chanukah Musical Celebration, airing Thursday, December 10th at 7pm.

WGUC's reputation for programming excellence is widely recognized by major national and international broadcast industry organizations. For the past several years WGUC has marked the major Jewish holidays with special local productions. As a result of that effort, the station's Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur programs have been recognized with a National Communicator Award of Distinction, a significant broadcast industry honor. As part of its cultural broadcast series, WGUC has produced Jewish holiday programs for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover and Chanukah.
