| 21 Jump Street
Rated R
Another cinematic retread of a long forgotten TV show, this time starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. If this trailer is any indication, this should be a seriously painful experience to sit through.

| A Thousand Words
Rated PG-13
Another Eddie Murphy stink bomb that is not only unfunny, but has been sitting on the shelf at Paramount since 2008. With the decline in video rentals, I guess they had to make an effort to release it to take a tax writeoff!

| Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax
Rated PG
The newest Seuss adaptation has turned out to be the highest grossing film of the year so far. Never underestimate the power of a quality kidflick to pack ‘em in.

| John Carter
Rated PG-13
The Disney Company was still gunshy from the big flop of Mars Needs Moms, so they excised the words “Of Mars” from Edgar Rice Burrough’s classic adventure tale John Carter Of Mars. Another animator takes the plunge into big-budget live action, and with a no-name cast comes up with a resounding thud. It may look good and have plenty of action, but this is the kind of film that is helping to kill off 3D.

| Project X
Rated R
A sleazeball comedy that might remind you of The Hangover, only with high school kids. Somebody sure wanted to see it, as this has done very solid biz. But if you aim a little higher for your entertainment, you can skip this one.

| Silent House
Rated R
This week’s horror flick stars the acclaimed Elizabeth Olsen (Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene) as a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. If you’re a die-hard horror fan, you’ve likely seen something similar about 100 times before.
