“Eclectic Small Works” Exhibit to Open at Artclectic Gallery

Enjoy an evening of jazz, refreshments, and unique works of art created by local Cincinnati artists.

The Artclectic Gallery presents the art exhibit: “Eclectic Small Works.” The opening reception for the holiday-themed art show will take place on Friday, November 3, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Guests can get a head start on holiday shopping. Many of the art pieces will range smaller, allowing guests to purchase a one-of-a-kind gift for their loved ones.

“You’ll see a lot of small pieces, but it’s all original work. So, there are no prints,” said Starr Shebesta, the gallerist (the owner of Artclectic).

The gallery doesn’t sell prints and tends to stay away from photographs simply because those items can be copied or reproduced, according to Shebesta.

“So, when you buy something from our gallery, it will be an original work. It’s going to be unique, and no one else is going to have it,” she said.

However, having original works of art isn’t the only unique aspect of the show. The gallery itself is meant to encourage and support artists within the Cincinnati community.

“So, there’s a lot of fun running the gallery because I can work with a lot of artists here locally, and that is my mission here at the gallery, to support and display the works of Cincinnati artists,” said Shebesta.

Before owning Artclectic, Shebesta and her husband visited galleries in Cincinnati where they witnessed beautiful forms of art, but they noticed that local artists didn’t create a lot of the pieces, explained Shebesta.

“So, when I opened my gallery, I sought to kind of correct that problem to try to focus on living, fantastic artists that are right here in Cincinnati who are creating every day, just amazing work,” she said.

Guests can expect to see a wide variety of art mediums. From oil paintings to sculptures, “Eclectic Small Works” will have wall art, including different types of media.

A few featured artworks in the show created by accomplished Cincinnati artists include Errol Bruce, Cathy Fiorelli, Chris Krupinski, Tony Lipps, Linda McCoy, Dana Olsen, Priya Rama, and many more, according to Artclectic.

This free, family-friendly event will take place at 6249 Stewart Avenue, Cincinnati. Although the event is free, make sure to register so you can reserve your ticket.

Can’t make it to the opening reception? The “Eclectic Small Works” art exhibit will be on display from November 1 – December 31.
