Robyn began her love affair with public radio listening to Susan Stamberg during the early years of All Things Considered on WFIU in Bloomington, Indiana. Post graduation, she worked as a DJ at stations in Cincinnati, Indiana, Texas and at WNOP "The Jazz Ark" in Newport, Kentucky. She then went from behind the mic to putting others in front of it, beginning a 30+ year career as a publicist, including Cincinnati Opera, CSO, Cincinnati Children's Theatre, Dallas Ballet, L.A. Master Chorale, Tippi Hedren's R.O.A.R. Foundation, Nashville Opera (not Opry!), Princeton City Schools and as a freelancer. In 2008, she began contributing interviews for Lee Hay's Around Cincinnati on WVXU. She has volunteered for the NPR affiliate station in every city she's lived, including, since 1995, at WVXU.
Gratefully in radio full time since 2014, she hosts Morning Drive and produces at WMKU/WLHS and substitutes part time on WGUC and WVXU. Robyn has three grown children and, the new love of her life, grandson Hendrix. She and her husband, pianist Rob Allgeyer, live in Glendale.
