After a series of competitions at the district, regional, and national levels, a panel of judges has named nine young singers (four sopranos, two mezzo-sopranos, one tenor and two baritones) the winners of the National Council Auditions, the nation's most prestigious vocal competition.
Each contestant performed two arias onstage at the Metropolitan Opera accompanied by the legendary Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the concertmaster David Chan and conductor Bertrand de Billy.
The Grand Finals Concert is hosted by Mary Jo Heath and features a performance by guest artist - tenor Javier Camarena.
